J Metro Announced As New Ambassador For K-3 Foundation!

Our first ambassador for the 2017 year has been announced today as J Metro. J Metro is a Houston based R&B artist who has been active in the community locally for some time from volunteering, to giving back, and recently gathering supplies every Monday in September for the Harvey Relief for Houstonians!

Jimmie (J Metro) Moore is a Singer, Songwriter, Composer, Multi-Instrumentalist and Poet based in Houston Texas. Jimmie L Moore Jr. began his musical training at the age of 5 with individual piano and voice lessons, group musicianship skills were also learned at a young age when in middle school he learned to play the trombone participating in concert and marching band as well as joined several academic and community choral ensembles. Jimmie Moore received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Theory and Composition with primary instruments in Piano performance and Vocal Performance from Morehouse College.

 

J Metro has achieved increased levels of success with latest singles “Frosty” and “Bodyguard”. “Frosty”, released in December 2013, was honored by the Recording Arts Academy for it’s commercial success by being entered into the “Song of the Year” and “Solo Pop Performance” fields in the first round of voting consideration for the 57th Grammy awards.  Latest single “Bodyguard” is distributed through Sony/Orchard Distribution and Spaced Out Magazine and first entered billboard charts in January 2015

 

With 8 Billboard Charting Singles, J Metro has opened for Faith Evans, Brian McKnight, John B, Mary J Blige, Maurice Star, Allen Stone and Bruno Mars. Already an established Global presence. In 2013 J Metro toured West Africa as the headlining American artist in the Jazz A Ouaga Music Festival located in Burkina Faso and was a guest speaker, panelist, and performer at the 2015 World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva Switzerland!
